The story: The Ewald Cemetery also known as the "Little Egypt" cemetery is a rather old and for the most part decommisioned graveyard. The cemetery is home to the remains of a number of families that had passed on up to and well over 200 years ago. There isn't much of a story surrounding this location. Most of the lore involves various tales and spooks rumored to be true. A couple popular *Hauntings* reported to have happened at this cemetery include hand prints appearing on cars, tossing a nickel on a baby's tombstone will generate cries and general apparition sightings. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was that the cemetery was completely fenced off and even had barbed wire on top of the fence, it seemed they were trying to keep people out. The cemetery itself wasn’t all that large, I couldn’t give you an exact measurement of it but it was roughly around an acre or more. My first impression was one of disappointment because the cemetery was inaccessible or really so it seemed. One of the T.I.P.S. investigators Vince discovered that the chain holding the front gate to the cemetery wasn’t bolted down; in fact it was only wrapped around the fence post. So we being the curious type pulled off the chain and let ourselves in. I will say the cemetery was an interesting place. The headstones dated back more than 200 years and a general spooky sense could be felt within the cemetery. The weather was fairly decent for this investigation; it was colder however that wasn’t too big of an issue. The sky wasn’t bad either, partly cloudy and a partial full moon which is also known as a Waxing Gibbous for all you astrological folk. After we had let ourselves in we strode through the graveyard and got a feel for the place. On a couple occasions I could have sworn I heard a male voice or male moaning coming from somewhere, however I dismissed it because the other investigators heard nothing. Something worth noting however was that when we first entered the cemetery the wind picked up substantially for a brief moment then calmed down. Back on track after I thought I heard something we decided it was a good idea to start our E.V.P. readings. Alex the lead investigator setup the voice recorder and we started the E.V.P. Q&A. We set the recorder on top of a rather large headstone, in fact it was probably one of the largest in the cemetery and also now that I think about it was the most centralized headstone in the graveyard. After we asked some standard questions while the recorder was well recording we decided to let it sit a while and we walked around some more. Shortly after walking around we decided to just sit in the middle of the graveyard silently without any lights. We gathered around the central headstone with the recorder on it and sat down. This is when things started getting a little interesting. About 10 minutes into our quit sit down Alex got a phone call. Please take note its 3:30am. He answers his phone and finds out it’s his mother. She apparently had just woken up and was concerned for him and asked him where he was. He told her and she wanted to know when the investigation was going to be complete and then told him she just had a horrible dream about him. From what I can gather she had a dream about him killing her and his family with a gun. I’ve known Alex for a few years now and I can say he’s a pretty stable individual most of the time; I wouldn’t put too much thought into him killing his family. The thing that gets me is we were in the middle of a cemetery without any lights, not talking and sitting around a large headstone . . . and we get that call. After all the excitement we wrapped things up and closed the investigation of the Ewald Cemetery. The Ewald Cemetery is a spooky place to wander around at 3am and all in all it was a fun place to investigate. No apparitions or floating headstone or other such poltergeists to report on however I wouldn’t say it was a total bust. In a good portion of our pictures we captured some of the famous Orbs and dust clouds that are popular among the paranormal community. Interesting Pictures: Features:
